In August 2023, 11 of the 12 MPs from the Women Parliamentarian's Caucus in the Sri Lankan Parliament visited the New Zealand Parliament. They were here as part of their study tour looking into NZ's experiences with female representation in politics and a range of gender based issues.

146th Inter-Parliamentary Union Assembly

The 146th Inter-Parliamentary Union Assembly convened in Manama, Bahrain, bringing together parliamentarians from 139 nations. The primary focus of the assembly was to combat intolerance, and its emergency resolution was to increase awareness and prompt action regarding the humanitarian crises facing Afghanistan, the Syrian Arab Republic, Ukraine, Yemen, and other nations. The New Zealand delegation consisted of four Members of Parliament: Vanushi Walters, Hon Scott Simpson, Dr Anae Neru Leavasa, and Simon O'Connor.
