About Parliament on Demand
Parliament on Demand is the home of New Zealand Parliament's video content.
The site provides direct access to a livestream of Parliament TV, and provides on demand access to all televised speeches made in the House of Representatives dating back to December 2009. Parliament TV is made available in speech-by-speech clips, and the search function can filter by MP, bill, stage, or oral question.
Parliament on Demand also showcases the rich variety of informative and educational videos available about Parliament, including the Spotlight and Taonga of Parliament series, and videos about events at NZ Parliament. It is also home to videos from the Inter-Parliamentary Relations programme, in which New Zealand MPs share insights and learnings from the work they do with their international counterparts.

Downloading Parliament TV Video on Demand clips
Parliament TV clips can be downloaded. If you would like to reuse Parliament TV content, please read the terms and conditions of use.
To find and download Parliament TV clips:
- Go to Parliament TV On Demand and find your clip, either by browsing or by using the filter/search tool.
- On the video embed, click the Share button (the icon looks like a paper plane) and click the URL that pops up to view that clip on Vimeo.
- On Vimeo, you’ll find a Download button underneath the video player. Click this, choose the file quality you’d like to download, and you’re done.
You can also browse clips on our Vimeo channel, where there’s a Download button below every video.
If you need broadcast-quality footage, this is available from 12 February 2019 onwards. Please contact Ecast at ptv.footage@e-cast.co.nz. Ecast charges a fee for retrieving and supplying material.
